Personally, I don't think Goons have got the balls / ability / morale to be able to achieve much at all in their current state. They've relied on other powerblocks to provide most of the resources needed for 0.0 combat in the current environment.
I've always thought Goons in Eve are a bit like Jar Jar Binks in Star Wars. Every time you see or hear them they make you want to vomit, and they're there to keep the sub-teen audience happy.

You're pretty bad at trolling. Not the worst, but still pretty bad.
And I like to think of us as Gimli in the LOTR movies (not books; he had a much different persona in the books): you can define that however you wish.
In what way? Pretty ugly, obsessed with k/d ratios and always being tossed around by people, and latching on to someone bigger than him as his best mate?
